National Standard 21306 Heavy Wall Heat Shrink Adhesive Lined Red 6" (8 Ga)

This item is a 6 inch long, adhesive lined heavy wall heat shrink tube for 8 gauge to 1/0 AWG wire.

The Heavy Wall Heat-shrink is for direct burial of heavy duty electrical cable, where environmental protection is necessary. Our Heavy Wall Heatshirnk tubing is supplied with an adhesive layer, adding a water tight seal to the strain relief the tubing provides. When exposed to heat a tad lower then the activation temperature of the Heavy Wall Heatshrink, the inner layer (adhesive) begins to melt and flow as a standard "glue-stick". When the heatshrink tubing shrinks and cools down, the inner layer forms an adhesion layer between the tubing and the connector or wire. This provides the watertight seal and protects the connector/wire in direct burial and submersed applications. Useful for marine grade applications as well as Heavy Duty.
