Lower unit was in use and working fine. It spent its 1st life here in SW Michigan on a freshwater lake.Â
It is in excellent used condition, No chips, cracks or bends in the casting. original factory paint. Fresh water use only.Â
Drive shaft seals failed vacuum at 8 psi. Changed driveshaft seals and then passed pressure & vacuum tests with zero drop. Lower unit oil changed at the end of each Michigan summer season. It has been drained now for shipping and there is NO OIL IN UNIT, FILL BEFORE USING. The drained oil was clean with no water or metal contamination.Â
