Almost every one of these tanks that comes into us test no good. The sensor is unplugged to silence the alarm and they come in with failed cylinders due to no oil. Diagnosis: With the key on and the tank plugged in, remove the sensor on the bottom of the tank by taking out the 1 Phillips head screw.The alarm should quit. Slide the probe sensor back in and the alarm should resume. This will confirm a tank float failure.
